What began as a small, intimate bible study called Bible Application Group (The BAG), God ordained and soon after Union of Faith Church was organized under the mighty hands of God, our Pastor Mark Zockheem, a group of high schoolers and a few young adults. On Tuesday, May 8, 2008 God planted an independent Methodist Church named Union of Faith Church. As Pastor Mark Zockheem was eager to teach the will and ways of God, so were the congregants just as eager and excited to learn.

The governing body of Union of Faith has developed by appointing and deputizing leaders in Christ such as shepherds, trustees, directors and greeters who are all responsible for spreading the Good News through working diligently in/out of worship services to better serve the church and community.

The initial foundation of God’s teachings and learning included the Trinity. We began by lighting the Trinity Candles which remains on this very day beginning with lighting the middle candle in the name of THE FATHER, next lighting the candle on the right in the name of THE SON, and finally lighting the candle on the left in the name of The HOLY SPIRIT. This tradition has become a hallmark of our church and begins all weekly worship services .

After several years, the congregation voted to change our name to United Church of Faith Methodist (UCOFM) desiring to better identify who we are, why and how we worship. God has continued blessing our efforts to grow His kingdom through church membership, outreach and community service as well as fellowshipping with family and friends.

As United Church of Faith Methodist (UCOFM) is saved to serve Christ Jesus, we remain committed to being a beacon of light in and around our community by living the UCOFM Mission Statement which states: UCOFM shall share the gospel at all times, in all places and in all situations.
